The expansion comes with a plan of continued growth across Southeast Asia. The brand is excited for the refocus on growth, experience and above-all-else the best quality food around.

“This is a very exciting time for our brand as we take Big Boy from being an American icon to a global icon,” said Tamer Afr, CEO of Big Boy. “We are extremely excited about our development with a strong partner in both Destination Eats and Gary Murray. The current agreement, a minimum of 70 locations up to 1,000 locations, shows the strength of the iconic brand in the international realm and encompasses opportunities throughout South East Asia and the new Ownership’s commitment to growth and reinvigorating the brand. We currently have one location open in Thailand, doing delivery and proud to be introducing our brand over there. Big Boy is a symbol of easier times and we are excited to continue to be that symbol. We are ready to open many more restaurants not only in Thailand, but across Southeast Asia and here in America as well. Get ready because soon enough there will be a Big Boy Restaurant near you!”

“We are extremely excited to bring the best American burger franchise into Thailand and across Southeast Asia,” said Gary Murray, Founder & CEO of Destination Eats. “When I was young, my parents always took me to Big Boy for my favorite burger. So for me, Big Boy is all about the experience and reminding guests, like me, of simpler times and happy memories. We are excited and ready to launch and expand Big Boy across Thailand.”
