Yoma acquired 65% stake of YKKO

Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd. has recently acquired 65% stake in Yankin Kyay Oh Group of Companies Limited (YKKO).

According to a willing-buyer willing-seller basis, total amount to be paid is approximately MMK 19.4 billion (US$12.6 million) taking the current and projected earnings of YKKO into consideration.

Total assets of YKKO was approximately MMK 6.22 billion (US$4.09 million) as of 30 September 2018.

YKKO was founded in 1988 in Yangon and becomes one of Myanmar’s largest restaurant chains with 37 outlets in Yangon, Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw, Bago and Mawlamyine.

YKKO is famous for its main dish “Kyay Oh”, a popular vermicelli soup made with pork and egg in Burmese cuisine. The restaurant also offers diversified menus.
